Qualified Signal Person:
This course is designed to discuss the use, care, maintenance, and inspection of various below-the-hook lifting devices, including alloy-chain slings, wire-rope slings, nylon and synthetic web slings, shackles, eyebolts, hooks, and plate grabs. Participants will learn how to perform the proper hand signals and voice commands for both tower crane and mobile crane operations. At the conclusion of the training, each participant will demonstrate that he or she meets the requirements by successfully completing a written and practical exam.
Qualified Rigger 1:
This course is designed to discuss the use, care, maintenance, and inspection of various below-the-hook lifting devices, including alloy-chain slings, wire-rope slings, nylon slings, clevis, eyebolts, hooks, and plate grabs. The course encompasses both formal lecture and hands-on exercises to assist the participants in the proper selection and use of lifting devices, as well as the various types of hitches and configurations.
This 1-day class will be held Thursday, December 5th 8:00AM – 5:00PM at
Deblois Electric, 1033 Sabattus St., Lewiston, ME.
