“Building tomorrow’s

skilled and experienced

workforce - today!”

Vision:

The Education and Workforce Development Committee will promote and enhance opportunities for ABC Maine and our educational partners to meet the workforce development needs of the Maine construction industry; will promote the image of the construction industry and develop meaningful partnerships with other like focused organizations.

Every year in Maine thousands of construction jobs go unfilled because of a lack of skilled workers.  To meet the challenges of an aging workforce and increased demand for a skilled workforce, we must encourage our young people to consider a career in construction and/or skilled trades.

Cent for CTE is a program that enables you to help support Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.  ABC members can commit to donate one penny per work hour in support of books for construction programming.  Simply calculate your company’s total work hours and donate one cent for each.  Together we can make a difference.

Join US and let’s help build tomorrow’s workforce today!!
