The Blue Book
Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine has worked with several industry partners to develop The Blue Book, which is the procedural guide to Maine’s Building Industry. This guide is intended to establish a spirit of understanding and cooperation among the various organizations of the Maine Construction industry which is essential towards the attainment of desirable objective in the bidding procedure and in award of contracts.
The Blue Book has been prepared for adoption by the Joint Committee of the American Institute of Architects – Maine Chapter (AIA Maine), Associated Builders & Contractors of Maine (ABC Maine), Associated General Contractors of Maine (AGC Maine), the Maine Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI),American Council of Engineering Companies of Maine (ACEC), and the Maine Chapter of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
