How many companies do you work with every day that haven’t joined ABC yet? In the office or on the jobsite—we all have colleagues, clients, subcontractors and suppliers who aren’t realizing the benefits of ABC membership.
Associated Builders and Contractors is the voice of the merit shop in Maine. ABC members are dedicated to excellence in the commercial and industrial construction market. ABC is sponsoring a special contest for current members who recruit new member companies to join. Recruit a new member by November 01, 2010 and you’ll be entered into a drawing for $1,000 cash! The more you recruit, the more chances you have to win.
It’s easy! Follow these simple steps and you could win a cool grand:
· First, get in touch with Hope Perkins, ABC’s Director of Member Services to request our latest membership list. [office: 207.623.4500 cell: 207.841.5217 email: hope@abcmaine.org]
· Look over the list and cross-reference it against the subcontractors and suppliers you use, general contractors you work with or your client list to identify potential prospects. Get their names and contact information to Hope.
· Talk to your prospects. Tell them why you’re an ABC member and why they should be, too! Hope will gladly grab a coffee with you and your prospect if you like—just schedule a time and place with her, then get your prospect there.
· Last step: Close the deal. If your prospect says “I’ll join” offer to help complete the application and pick up the check. Or get Hope to do it. As long as it’s in by November 1st you’re entered in the contest!
Official Contest Rules:
1. You must be a current member of Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine to be eligible.
2. Individuals serving on ABC’s board of directors are not eligible. Other individuals employed by the board member’s company may compete.
3. ABC members participating in the contest will have their names listed on the Maine Chapter website.
4. Contest runs from 8:00 AM, Monday, June 14, 2010 to 5:00 PM, Monday, November 01, 2010.
5. To be entered into the contest, prospect must be a paid member no later than 5:00 PM EST, Monday, November 01, 2010
6. Drawing will be held December 3rd at the Annual Holiday Party!
7. No purchase necessary to enter or win.
