2010 Craft Instructor of the Year

Do you know an innovative craft teacher that inspires and motivates you?

The ABC Craft Instructor of the Year (CITY) award honors a teacher who demonstrates a commitment to the high educational standards of the merit shop with innovative teaching methods to promote life-long learning to the construction industry’s future workforce. Instructors are nominated by their ABC chapter, training affiliate or ABC member firm.

The national winner receives:

• A cash prize of $3,500 from the Trimmer Education Foundation.

• A notebook computer and leather jacket from the National Center for Construction Education & Research.

• Complimentary airfare and hotel accommodations for the ABC National Convention, Feb. 3-7, in San Diego to receive the Craft Instructor of the Year award.

2010 Craft Professional of the Year

Do you know a talented craft professional with drive, passion and leadership in his/her field?

The ABC Craft Professional of the Year (CPOY) award honors an individual who demonstrates a commitment to excellence, passion for the trade and pride of working with one’s hands to benefit both the construction industry and the greater community, the ultimate example of merit shop success in the field.  

Craft professionals are nominated by their ABC member firms in seven craft categories: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, pipefitting, plumbing, specialty crafts and welding. The national 2010 Craft Professional of the Year is then chosen from the seven craft category winners.
 
The national winner receives:

• A brand new, full-size pickup truck sponsored by Tradesmen International, Inc.
